Members of the media picked The Citadel to finish sixth in the Southern Conference this season, mimicking the predictions of the league's coaches, as announced by the Southern Conference office Wednesday afternoon. The Citadel opens the season on Aug. 30 against Webber International.

The qualified ITA Academic All-Americans are senior James Eason, sophomores Alberto Diaz and Frederic Petrilli, and freshman Yufo Sutantio.
In the middle of May, senior James Eason and sophomores Alberto Diaz and Frederic Petrilli of The Citadel tennis team were selected to the Southern Conference Spring Academic All-Conference team. Now it looks as though more academic awards could be in store for the Bulldogs.

Richard Wieters '77 to be Inducted into Charleston Baseball Hall of Fame
