It is the responsibility of The Citadel to control its intercollegiate athletic program in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Southern Conference and the NCAA.
The Citadel's responsibility for the conduct of its program includes responsibility for the actions of its staff members and for the actions of any other individual, booster or organization engaged in activities promoting the athletic interests of the institution.
The Citadel must monitor its program to assure compliance and to identify and report to the Southern Conference and the NCAA instances in which compliance has not been achieved. An institution found to have violated Southern Conference and/or NCAA rules is subject to disciplinary and corrective actions as determined by the Southern Conference and/or the NCAA.
Current or former Brigadier Foundation members, alumni/alumnae, current or former employees of the college, or anyone who has contributed in any way to athletic programs at The Citadel.
The NCAA opposes all forms of legal and illegal sports wagering, which has the potential to undermine the integrity of sports contests and jeopardizes the welfare of student-athletes and the intercollegiate athletics community. This section contains links to resources on the history and pervasiveness of wagering in intercollegiate athletics, as well as resources to help administrators and student-athletes keep their programs and teams clear of gambling-related problems.
Students ninth grade and higher or potential transfer students from two-year or four-year degree-granting institutions should go here.
