CHARLESTON, S.C. – From March 14-15, The Citadel golf team is hosting its first tournament since head coach Lori Bonacci took over the program eight years ago. The Bulldog Invitational will take place at Patriot's Point Links in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
 
The Citadel hosts nine other teams for the tournament, including Appalachian State, Bucknell, Drake, Lamar, Navy, Radford, Siena, Western Illinois and Wofford. After a practice round Sunday, the two-round Bulldog Invitational launches Monday with action beginning at 11:10 a.m. and the last pairing teeing off at 2:10 p.m.

Tuesday's final round features a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The tournament will conclude at 2 p.m. that afternoon with an awards ceremony. Results will available at the conclusion of each round on GolfStat.com.
 
The Citadel is coming off a solid weekend at the Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville, Florida. The Bulldogs carded a two-round team score of 657 (321-336). Coach Bonacci's squad was tied for second place through 18 holes after recording its second-best round of the 2015-16 campaign as a team on day one. It was the second time this year that three different Bulldogs recorded 18-hole scores in the 70s in the same round, with the other coming at the Sand Shark Shootout in late September.
 
Sophomore Cameron Little captained the effort with her third career top-ten finish. Little placed ninth among 65 competitors last week with a score of 159. She and senior leader Eraina Manor look to lead the Bulldogs against a strong field on their home course Monday and Tuesday.
