Bulldogs Travel to Chattanooga for 30th Annual Steve Baras Fall Classic

Charleston S.C. – The Citadel men's tennis team will travel to Chattanooga this weekend to complete in the Annual UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic held by the Mocs at the Champions Club.

The men's draws will be made up of competitors from 11 teams, including Chattanooga, The Citadel, East Tennessee State, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Lee, Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee, Samford, South Carolina and UNCG.

Four Bulldogs have been chosen by head coach Kemper Baker to compete, including, freshmen Jackson Pride, Oliver Dedding and Matt McGill and sophomore Peter Bleach.

Pride, a native Charlestonian, will compete in his first fall tournament of the season. Debbing and McGill both will take the courts for the second time after competing in the USC Upstate Fall Classic earlier in the month.

Bleach, the only Bulldog to enter all three tournaments, has tallied a 2-2 singles record over the course of fall play.

The UTC Steve Baras Tennis Tournament and the Steve Baras Memorial Endowment Fund provide financial assistance to young men and women who are seeking an education in the UTC School of Business and are members of the Mocs' tennis teams.  The student-athlete must demonstrate prowess on the tennis court, as well as academic success, leadership skills in University programs and community involvement.

Results will be available throughout the weekend. For more information on Bulldog tennis, find us on Twitter @CitadelSports and Facebook or visit the official website of The Citadel Athletics,
