Bulldogs Set to Play Crosstown Foe College of Charleston
Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team will travel down the road for a midweek clash with College of Charleston Wednesday at 4 p.m., at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
In their last home match of the season the Bulldogs (7-10, 0-7) fell to conference rival Furman 7-0.
Senior David Orces and sophomore Peter Bleach remain the leaders for the Dogs with 10 singles victories on the season. In doubles action the duo of Orces and Oliver Dedding lead the team with a 9-6 dual record in the No. 1 position.
College of Charleston
The Cougars sit at 9-6 overall, 4-2 in the Southern Conference and remain undefeated at home (4-0). CofC is currently on a seven-match winning streak with its last loss taking place a month ago against Tulane on Mar. 6.
Zack Lewis has embarked on a stellar freshman campaign for CofC. The Richmond, Ky., native is on seven-match winning streak and has earned an impressive 13-2 record on the year.
The Citadel will be looking for revenge as the Cougars defeated the Dogs 6-1 last spring at the Earle Tennis Center.
