The Citadel Rifle Compete in SEARC Opener
Charleston, SC. - The Citadel Rifle will travel to North Georgia College and State University to compete in the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) opener on Saturday in Dahlonega, Ga.
The Bulldogs will compete against rifle teams from Clemson, Georgia Military, North Georgia, and NC State. The competition will last throughout the day and include only air rifle.
The Citadel is coming off an impressive performance last week at VMI in Lexington, Va., where the men claimed the NCAA win over the Keydets with a smallbore and air rifle combined score of 4347. The men were led by sophomore Dorian Winston, who totaled a 550 in smallbore and tied teammate Stephen Kinn for the top score in air rifle with a 561. The men dominated the air rifle competition, with all four competitors claiming the top four spots for a team air rifle score of 2219. The women defeated all VMI and USP opponents, totaling 3953 for the weekend.
