Bulldog Rifle Back in Action this Weekend at The Citadel Marksmanship Center

Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel Rifle team will be back in action this weekend as they are set to face-off against Army and NC State at The Citadel Marksmanship Center. This will be the fourth time this season the Bulldogs will face-off against the Wolfpack, winning the first three meetings in SEARC competitions.

The Bulldog Rifle team will face stiff competition as the Wolfpack (0-4) are coming off their first SEARC competition win on Nov 13 in Spartanburg, S.C., a match that The Citadel Rifle team did not compete in. The Army Rifle team (2-5) is coming off a victory last Saturday in West Point, N.Y. against Columbus State.

Senior captains Alison Hayes and Stephen Kinn will look to continue to improve in the spring season after an impressive fall season, finishing undefeated in SEARC competition.

Sophomore Julia McCullohs led the Bulldog women statistically in the fall, tallying high scores in four of the six competitions and averaging a team high 578 per contest. McCullohs scored her season-best round of 572 in the SEARC 2 competition in Charleston on Oct. 6. Senior Stephen Kinn leads all Bulldog shooters with an average rifle score of 571 per match. Kinn fired a season-high 578 in the SEARC 2 competition to help his team take the first place title.
