Bulldog Rifle Heads to the Upstate for SEARC 4 Competition

Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel Rifle team will head to Spartanburg, S.C., on Saturday, Nov. 5, to compete in their fourth Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match of the season. The competition will be the final conference match of 2011 before the Bulldogs have a two-month layoff before starting up play again on Jan. 14, 2012.

The Cadets finished last weekend's SEARC 3 competition in third place with a score of 2245, just three points behind North Georgia College and State University (2248), and 47 points behind N.C. State (2292), who has taken the crown in all three conference matches of the 2011-12 season.

Junior captain Julia McCullohs, who recorded a 567 in SEARC 3 to lead all Bulldogs for the second time this season, was backed by teammates freshman William Wutzer (561), senior captain Kristofer Small (559) and freshman Robert Jackson (558), who finished in the second, third and fourth spots for The Citadel, respectively.

Saturday's match will showcase the seven conference teams: Augusta State, Clemson, Georgia Military, N.C. State, North Georgia College and State University, The Citadel and Wofford.
