Bulldog Marksmen Set to Host VMI and No. 8 Nevada at Inouye Marksmanship Center Saturday
Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel Rifle team will host their fourth of six consecutive home matches at the Inouye Marksmanship Center on Saturday when they face-off against No. 8 Nevada and Virginia Military Institute.
Last weekend the Bulldog men captured fourth place with a team score of 4,456 against three ranked teams in No. 7 Ole Miss, No. 14 Air Force and No. 18 N.C. State. Freshman Robert Jackson's stellar season continued when he fired a mark of 575, just one point behind his personal and season best.
The Bulldog women captured third place on Sunday, while Air Force (4,628) nabbed first place by just one point over Ole Miss (4,627).
The young Bulldog team will look to continue their success as a freshman shooter has now captures a team best score in seven of the nine matches.

The Bulldogs last faced VMI in the 2010-11 season-opener where they captured the victory 4347-4160. Former Cadet marksman Winston Dorian fired a 561 to lead all Bulldog men, while junior captain Julia McCullohs led all women shooters with a mark of 530.
