Jackson Cards a 571 to Lead Bulldogs at SEARC Championships

Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel rifle team fired a team score of 2271 to capture second place at the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference Championships on Saturday at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. N.C. State took home the team title, carding a score of 2304.

Finishing behind N.C. State and The Citadel in the SEARC standings were North Greenvile (2230), Georgia Military College (2220), Clemson (2218) and Wofford (2179).

Freshman Robert Jackson, who has paced the Bulldogs in seven of the 12 contests this season, led all Citadel shooters, nabbing fifth place overall with a mark of 571.

Captains Kristofer Small and Julia McCullohs both carded scores of 569 to finish in a tie for seventh place, while freshman William Wutzer rounded out the Bulldogs' top four scorers with a 562.

Wolfpack marksman Maddy Pike took the individual title, firing an air rifle score of 586.

Freshman Nathaniel Moy earned his first air rifle letter of the season, carding a 561 to earn 17th place. Also competing for the Bulldogs were Ashten Byrne (558), Terri Craig (554), Richard Hunton III (552), Margaret LaRiviere (547), Julie O'Meara (547), Narisa Lopez (533), Joshua Anacay (524), Hunter Parrish (518) and Sharnay Green (463).
