Bulldog Marksmen Set to Host SEARC 6 and NCAA Sectional Competition

Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel rifle team will be back in action after a three-week hiatus to host the sixth Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match as well as an NCAA Sectional event at the Inouye Marksmanship Center.

The Bulldogs will fire air rifle as part of the sixth conference competition and will also record scores in air rifle and small bore as part of the NCAA Sectional.

The Citadel last shot on Jan. 26-27 when it hosted nationally-ranked Air Force, NC State and Nevada in an open NCAA completion.

Robert Jackson carded a team-leading air rifle score of 572 on Saturday and 575 on Sunday to go along with a season-high small bore mark of 569.

Jackson has posted an impressive sophomore campaign, firing the team's highest air rifle score in nine of the team's 11 competitions.

Julia McCullohs and Terri Craig, who missed last season's NCAA Sectional due to military obligations, will look to lead the women's team along with Ashten Byrne and Teddi Haliscak.
