Wrestling Hosts North Carolina and Sacred Heart on Sunday

Sunday, February 19 - McAlister Field House
12:00 p.m. - North Carolina vs. Sacred Heart
1:30 p.m. - THE CITADEL vs. North Carolina
3:00 p.m. - THE CITADEL vs. Sacred Heart 

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs close out the 2012 regular season by hosting The Citadel Duals at McAlister Field House with North Carolina and Sacred Heart. The Citadel defeated Campbell 25-13 on Friday eveing to finish the SoCon season with a 4-2 record in the league. No. 15 Odie Delaney leads the Bulldogs with a 22-2 overall record and a perfect 13-0 in dual meets and 12 pins. Kelby Smith has a team-high 31 wins on the season.

ABOUT SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart comes in with an 0-15 dual mark on the year. After a narrow 23-22 loss at American International, the Pioneers fell to Brown (41-0), Rider (44-3) and Franklin and Marshall (36-15) over the last four weeks. Sacred Heart entered a new era in 2011-12 as they joined the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association. 

ABOUT NORTH CAROLINA
The Tar Heels have won two of their last three duals after a six-match losing streak that included a 22-15 loss to The Citadel on January 14 at the Virginia Duals. UNC finished 2-3 in the ACC this season, posting wins over Duke and NC State. 

SENIOR DAY
The Citadel will honor five seniors for their contributions to the Bulldogs' wrestling program: Richard Alarcon, Pierre Frazile, David Ivashchenko, Kelby Smith and Alex Wettstein.

2012 SOUTHERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Bulldogs will head to the 2012 SoCon Championships hosted by Chattanooga on March 3 at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn.
