CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling program will host a BBQ fundraiser for associate head coach Jeff Ragan on Wednesday, May 16 in the fourth-floor club level of Johnson Hagood Stadium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The fundraiser will consist of barbeque chicken, potato salad and baked beans and will be availableat the stadium or for take-out. Donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of Ragan's kidney transplant which occurred on April 4 at the Medical University of South Carolina.
A husband and father of two, Ragan was an All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State and is also an adjunct math professor at The Citadel, runs the school's math lab and coordinates The Citadel's summer wrestling camp.
Ragan received a kidney from his brother, Brad, a former Bulldog wrestler and a 2006 graduate of The Citadel with a degree in civil engineering who is currently serving in the United States Air Force as a pilot with a rank of Captain.
