Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team will begin its dual meet schedule on Sunday when it hosts Pac-12 powerhouse Arizona State in the 3rd Battalion (Law Barracks) at noon. It will mark the first time in program history that the Bulldogs and Sun Devils will square off in a head-to-head battle.

The Bulldogs will bring two ranked wrestlers to the mats in No. 10 Ugi Khishignyam at the 141-pound division and No. 13-ranked Odie Delaney in the heavyweight.

Ugi opened up his redshirt freshman season by dominating the mats at the Hokie Open to earn a second place finish in his respective weight class. En route to a 4-1 record on the day, the Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, native posted a win by fall (6:59) against the ninth-ranked wrestler in the country before taking down the defending Southern Conference Champion in Dean Pavlou from Chattanooga.

Delaney, who earned his third SoCon Championship and NCAA bid last season, carried the momentum into his final season as a Bulldog last weekend when he took third place at the Hokie Open with a 4-1 record.

The Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., native has accumulated 84 wins, 44 by fall, in his career and will look to eclipse the 100-win and 50-pin mark this season.

Arizona State will enter Sunday with three dual matches under its belt as the Sun Devils topped North Carolina, 21-16, on Friday and will take on Bloomsburg and Campbell in a doubleheader on Saturday.

"We are excited about Arizona State coming in and we are going to go out there and fight hard in every match," said head coach Rob Hjerling.
