Citadel Soccer Defeats USC-Beaufort, Charleston Southern in Spring Soccer Contests
Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel soccer team played 45 minutes apiece against USC-Beaufort and Charleston Southern at Johnson Hagood Stadium on Saturday, winning both contests by scores of 1-0 and 2-1, respectively.
Mariana Garcia netted the only Citadel goal in the first half of Saturday's round robin contest against USC-Beaufort, while Kim Maldonado and Ana Mesa notched a goal each in the final 45 minutes against Charleston Southern.
Freshman goalkeeper Samantha Millspaugh played a solid 90 minutes in net, allowing just one goal.
The Bulldogs will host Charleston Southern and Coker College this weekend at Johnson Hagood Stadium with the same 45-minute round robin format.
