First College cross country meet ever held at this location. Course is on trails that wind through a forested plantation, 5k course is about 95% shaded, the 8k course is about 80% shaded. Trails are mostly grass, dirt and some gravel areas. The runners will finish running down the center of two rows of 200 year old oak trees that line the road.
Entry Fee: $250 per gender ($200 per gender if members of the USTFCCCA). Make checks payable to The Citadel Cross Country. May be mailed to: Jody Huddleston, The Citadel, 171 Moultrie St., Charleston, SC 29409 or you may pay at packet pick-up.
Entries: Entry deadline is Tuesday, September 25 at midnight. (www.directathletics.com)
Schedule: Men’s race at 9:00am with the women to follow at 9:45am.
Travel and Parking: Buses will not able to get into the facility at this time (vans and cars, trucks, etc. will have no problems). If traveling by bus we will make arrangements to shuttle your teams to and from the course in 15 passenger vans from about 1 mile away. The shuttle will be available for both Friday for course inspection and Saturday for the race. Please call my cell at 843-708-9621 or Coach Kut’s cell at 843-708-9618, to make arrangements.
Awards: T-shirts for the top 10 finishers in both Division I & II, team trophy to the winning team in both divisions.

From I-26, take I-526 East towards Mt. Pleasant. Cross two rivers and take exit 29 towards Georgetown (approximately 12 miles from I-26 to Hwy. 17), turn left onto Hwy. 17N. Turn left onto Hwy. 41 (approximately 4 miles from I-526), you will pass two neighborhoods on your left, the Colonnade and then Horlbeck Creek. You will then pass over a marsh area and it will be the next right turn (1 mile from Hwy. 17). Proceed through the gate and continue to parking area about 600 meters into the property.
From Hwy. 17 South from Myrtle Beach, turn right onto Hwy. 41, then follow directions above.
From Hwy. 17 North from Charleston, turns left onto Hwy. 41, and then follow directions above.
