Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's cross country teams will stay in the Lowcountry this weekend as they will compete at the College of Charleston Invitational on Friday at Trophy Lakes on Johns Island.

The race will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the women's 5k followed by the men's 8k at 6 p.m.

The Greenville, S.C., native is chasing the school record of 24:55 set by Marty Magg in 1983.

Junior Danielle McKee shattered the school record in the 5k on the same course a season ago, posting a time of 18:09.
