Charleston, S.C. – After two weeks off, The Citadel cross country teams are set to host the first race on its new home course at Laurel Hill Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., on Saturday.
The meet will commence with the men's 8k at 9 a.m., followed by the women's 5k at 9:45.
Nine schools will compete in the Bulldog Invitational including Southern Conference foe Georgia Southern.
The Citadel last competed at the College of Charleston Invitational on Sept. 7 where the men took second place and the women finished third. Senior captain Kyle Keene finished in second place overall with a time of 26:23, while Danielle McKee took fourth for the women with a mark of 19:13.
From I-26, take I-526 East towards Mt. Pleasant. Cross two rivers and take exit 29 towards Georgetown (approximately 12 miles from I-26 to Hwy. 17), turn left onto Hwy. 17N. Turn left onto Hwy. 41 (approximately 4 miles from I-526), you will pass two neighborhoods on your left, the Colonnade and then Horlbeck Creek. You will then pass over a marsh area and it will be the next right turn (1 mile from Hwy. 17). Proceed through the gate and continue to parking area about 600 meters into the property.
