Earned six letters in football and baseball … a quarterback on the 1959-61 teams, he directed The Citadel to its first Southern Conference football championship in 1961 … was tri-captain of that team … led the ’61 team in total offense with 1,030 yards and passing with 1,083 yards …selected all-conference as third baseman in 1962 when he led the league in runs batted in.
