Lettered all four years in football, basketball and track … captained the basketball team his senior year … earned all-state accolades on the gridiron as a senior … only track athlete to enter state meets and win a place in all events he entered … cadet captain and commanded "D" company … was the varsity track and basketball coach (14-16 record) and assistant football coach at The Citadel from 1934-36.
