PHILADELPHIA, PA. – Members of The Citadel track and field team completed their time at the 124th running of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs claimed one top-ten performance and two finishes in the top 20.

Competition began Thursday with Jessy Page recording a personal-best mark in the women's discus throw. The sophomore claimed tenth place in the collegiate section with a mark of 145-1 (44.24 meters).

Senior Mady Riegel placed 13th in a field of 28 in the women's collegiate javelin throw. Riegel threw for a distance of 134-8 (41.07 meters).

Concluding the Bulldogs' stint at the Penn Relays, senior Derrick Freeland finished with a mark of 52' 80'' in the men's collegiate hammer throw.

The Bulldogs will head up I-26 to face off against Charleston Southern on Wednesday, May 2.
