Mady Riegel Soccer Bio

JUNIOR (2016-17): Competed in six indoor events placing in the top 10 in four. For the outdoor season, competed solely in javelin at nine venues. Took second place at the Weems Baskin Invitational hosted by South Carolina with a mark of 43.27m, just .42 shy of first. Took the top spot at the USC Open with a mark of 42.25m. Named The Citadel’s Outstanding Field Performer Award and named the track and field team’s MVP. Became the first Bulldog to advance to the finals in any event at the prestigious Penn Relays, finishing seventh in the javelin. SoCon Champion for Javelin with a mark of 43.60 to break her own school record and sit first all-time at The Citadel. 

SOPHOMORE (2015-16): Began the Indoor season by competing in six meets, making four top 10 finishes. Placed fourth in the Captains Invitational with a toss of 12.73m in the weight...For the Outdoor season, Riegel competed in 12 events for the Bulldogs. Took first place at the Lowcountry Collegiate in the javelin with a 37.47m mark. SoCon Champion for Javelin with a mark of 42.18 to break the school record. She ousted the rest of the field by a full 7.18 meters. ??????Set a new personal record for Hammer with a throw of 36.07m in the UNF Spring Break Invitational.
