Patriots Point Links

Patriots Point Links on Charleston Harbor is the home of Citadel golf.

Situated on the edge of Charleston Harbor and offering spectacular views of the city, Fort Sumter, and ships arriving from all over the world, Patriots Point has been for years a favorite place to play for local Charleston golfers and resort guests. It’s located in Mount Pleasant at the foot of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and just five minutes from downtown.

The amenities you will enjoy at Patriots Point include a lighted driving range with PGA instruction, a southern style clubhouse, golfers’ grill and patio, and one of the most popular wedding and event facilities in Charleston.

With four sets of tees ranging from 5100 to 7000 yards, players of all skill levels will enjoy this Willard Byrd designed links course on the Charleston Harbor.

A South Carolina tradition since 1979, guests will enjoy great service, an island green poised in the Charleston Harbor with sweeping vistas of Fort Sumter, Shem Creek and the historic downtown skyline. This is a golf hole that will not be forgotten. The ever-changing wind that typically sweeps across the harbor can make the course play take on a completely different perspective from one round to the next.

This links style par 72 championship course was also rated “South Carolina Course of the Year for 2001” by the National Golf Course Owners Association.

The practice facility at delivers the perfect area to improve your golf game and provides Charleston with its largest, all-grass, lighted driving range. The bermuda-grass teeing area has room for more than 35 golfers. The range also includes a variety of targets to hone in everything from a lob wedge to a driver.

The facility has been the host of a regional qualifying for the Remax Long Drive Championship, Berkeley Electric Co-op Million Dollar Hole-In-One Shootout and currently is the site of The First Tee of Greater Charleston.

The practice putting green delivers the same speed, consistency, and many of the same subtle undulations you will face on Patriots Point’s golf course. A short game area also provides targets and ranging from 30 to 70 yards that most facilities don’t offer.
