The architect of the most successful era in Bulldog baseball, Fred Jordan closed out his 26-year tenure as The Citadel's all-time leader in career wins with 831. More impressively, the four-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year led the Bulldogs to 12 SoCon Championships, including seven SoCon Tournament Championships, and seven appearances in the NCAA Regionals.
Jordan was a master of development as 66 players went on to be named All-SoCon, with eight players being named the SoCon Pitcher of the Year. Additionally, 35 players heard their names called in the Major League Baseball Draft.
