Charleston, SC - The Citadel volleyball coach Wendy Anderson announced the release of the 2002 schedule.

The team returns three starters from a year ago, a season in which the Bulldogs posted the best season ever in its four-year history.

With the future looking bright, Anderson knows that the 2002 season will continue on the path of improvement as the previous four seasons.

"Our personnel is getting stronger with each class that comes in," states Anderson. "With the combination of our top returning players and our new athletes, this season will be the best yet."

The 2002 Citadel volleyball schedule consists of 32 matches that have the Bulldogs starting on August 31 in a tournament at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. The schedule has 20 Southern Conference matches built in, with 11 non-conference opponents including the longest trip in the program's young history to Los Angeles, CA.
