The Citadel volleyball lost their third consecutive home Southern Conference match 3-0 against Chattanooga Saturday in McAlister Field House.
The Bulldogs (3-18, 0-12 SoCon) played three intense games, but could not put up numbers to overcome the Mocs and were defeated 23-30, 28-30 and 15-30, extending their record to 12-11, 7-4 SoCon.
"Chattanooga is a solid team," remarked head coach Wendy Anderson. "We did some positive things in the second game but could not continue it into the third."
Junior middle blocker Audra Ritche led the Bulldogs with nine kills, while senior middle blocker Lindsey Hodge and sophomore outside hitter Stefanie Farris added eight more kills each. Senior Desiree Browning posted 30 assists for the afternoon.
The Mocs were led by sophomore right side hitter Kelly Ramsay and senior outside hitter Kari Drouse, who contributed 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Junior setter Emily McGinnis contributed a game-high 32 assists for Chattanooga.
The Citadel will take on Newberry October 28, at 6 p.m. in McAlister Field House.
