Charleston, SC - The Wrestling Mall.com released its updated Division I rankings for teams and individuals on Tuesday February 11, 2003. The Citadel's Ryan McClester and Travis Piccard have cracked the top 20 to join in the ranks with Sean Markey.

125-pounder, Ryan McClester (So. - Lugoff, SC) is now ranked 15th in the nation. McClester holds a record of 27-9 and has knocked off numerous nationally ranked opponents.

Sean Markey (So. - Randolph, NJ) (19th) is now 32-6 with the sixth most wins in the nation and the number two in the country for pins. Amateur Wrestling News ranked Markey 15th in nation. He holds The Citadel's single season record for most wins.

Travis Piccard (Fr. - Allendale, MI) slides into the 19th spot with a 28-11 record. Piccard holds The Citadel's freshman single season record for most wins.

"It's nice to know we have three wrestlers getting some national recognition," commented head coach Rob Hjerling. "The fact that Ryan, Sean and Travis along with wrestling room being young provides optimism for the future."

The Citadel wrestling team will be in action on Saturday February 15th at 4:30 p.m. Virginia Military Institute and The Citadel are scheduled to quarrel in First Battalion on The Citadel's campus. Inclement weather conditions will move the dual into McAlister Field House if necessary.
