Charleston, SC -
The Citadel tennis program would like to invite the public for a free hot dog lunch as the Bulldogs take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers this Saturday at Noon, complemented by a match on Sunday against the Bears from Mercer at 1 p.m. The contests are held at The Citadel's Donald C. Bunch Courts at the Earle Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs would like to graciously thank the fans that attended last Saturday's matches against South Carolina State and Limestone, where the Bulldogs won convincingly 6-1, 7-0. The Citadel (2-2) began the day playing tough in doubles matches, taking two of the three possible victories against South Carolina State (0-1). The Bulldogs nearly swept South Carolina State in singles play, winning five of the six times they stepped on the court. In the afternoon match against Limestone (0-1), The Citadel came out strong in doubles play winning all three against the visiting Saints, 3-0. The singles matches were well played by both squads, however, the Bulldogs seemed entirely too much for the Saints whom left without a single victory.
All spectators are encouraged to show school sprit by wearing blue to the weekend's events. The matches are always free of charge and cheer on your Bulldogs as they try for undefeated at home this season.
