Citadel Basketball Lands Texas All-Star Bobby Joshua

Citadel basketball coach Pat Dennis announced Wednesday afternoon that Bobby Joshua of Fort Worth, Texas will play for the Bulldogs, next year.

"We were very fortunate to sign a player with Bobby's abilities and attitude," Dennis stated. "He has a terrific skill level for his size and can perform a lot duties on the court."

Joshua, a 6-7, 273-pound power forward earned three letters in basketball at Everman High School and led them to a 3A State Championship in 2003. During his senior season he averaged 17 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and two blocks per game. His performances during his last season garnered him District MVP, First team All-Region, First team All-State and 3A State MVP honors.

"Bobby's basketball IQ is outstanding and he comes from a highly successful state championship team," Dennis continued. "He will bring a lot mental and physical toughness to our basketball team."

Joshua becomes the fourth high school senior from Texas to sign on with the Bulldogs joining Jemel Everhart (6-6, 190, Tyler, TX), Kelvin Fowler (6-6, 195, Garland, TX) and Aaron Xia (6-8, 240, Friendswood, TX). Rounding out the recruiting class are Anthony Miller (6-1, 175, Atlanta, GA) and Joseph Thompson (6-6, 235, Whitesville, NC).
