Citadel head coach Jody Huddleston announced the 2003 cross-country schedule that will include seven meets, as hosting The Citadel Invitational highlights the season.

"This is a schedule that we should run very well in- on both the men's and the women's side," Huddleston remarked. "It is a competitive schedule and one that will prepare us well for the hills found on the Southern Conference Championships course hosted by Davidson."

The Bulldogs will battle hills early in the season at Davidson and then two more at Furman and Winthrop in mid-October Huddleston prepares both teams for the conference championships.

The Bulldogs kick off the 2003 season at cross-town rival College of Charleston on August 29th followed by a quick travel to Columbia to take on Southeastern Conference (SEC) Power the University of South Carolina, September 5.

"The women should excel with this schedule," noted Huddleston. "They are young and it should provide several opportunities for progress throughout the season. We look for more improvement as we expect one or two of the signed freshman to make an immediate impact and rank in the top-five on the men's side. Of course on both sides we hope to be stronger and finish higher in the conference at the SoCon Championships."
