Charleston, SC - The Citadel welcomes 68 freshman cadet-student-athletes as they report to the Watts Barracks Thursday morning, July 31.

"It is always and exciting time when the freshman report, especially at The Citadel with our unique military environment," Citadel Director of Athletics Les Robinson stated. "The freshman reporting is a sign that the new school year is starting and a new year of Citadel athletics is about to begin."

The 68 freshmen consist of 36 football players, seven women's soccer players, six managers, five men's cross-country runners, five women's cross-country runners, four trainers, three volleyball players, and two cheerleaders.

This group of young men and women will take part in athletic cadre, before heading to the practice fields August 6th, to join the upperclassmen who report on the 5th.
