Charleston, SC - Elon's Kristin Albert tallied one goal and one assist to help the Elon Phoenix defeat The Citadel 3-0 in Southern Conference action September 27, at Washington Light Infantry.

"The girls had moments of great play," stated head coach Megan Hjerling. "We just need to become consistent."

Albert found the back of the net 13 minutes into the match with a volley off a cross from Emily Chesney and put the Phoenix up 1-0.

Elon's Albert assisted Kate Schabo in the second half with a nice pass down the middle at the 66 minute mark. Kerry McCarron header for the Phoenix off Laura Fogg's cross finished up the scoring for Elon at 81:53, making the final score 3-0.

The Bulldogs take to the road against East Tennessee State October 3, at 5:00 PM.
