Charleston, SC - Senior middle blocker Audra Ritchie had 16 kills and six solo blocks while junior right side hitter Marina Daniel added 15 kills and three solo blocks, but it was not enough to defeat Wofford as The Citadel lost 3-2 (30-27, 25-30, 18-30, 30-27, 15-9) in Southern Conference volleyball action in McAlister Field House Saturday afternoon.

The Citadel (7-10, 0-5 SoCon) also got strong showings from junior outside hitters Stefanie Farris and Samantha Parisi who tallied 13 and 11 kills respectively. Parisi also notched a match high four service aces while senior setter Katie Livingston earned 50 assists to just miss her season high by one.

Wofford (6-9, 1-1 SoCon) collected their first conference win of the season due in part to senior outside hitter Andrea Duke's match high 25 kills as well as 58 assists from junior setter Rhea DeJesus.

The Citadel will head to North Charleston on Tuesday October 5 to take on Charleston Southern at 7:00 pm while Wofford heads to Greensboro to face the Spartans on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
