Las Vegas, NV - Seniors Sean Markey (141) and Keith Clifton (184) and junior Brad Ragan (125) all advanced to the round of 16 in their weight classes as The Citadel scored 16 team points to place 35th out of 46 teams at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas, NV over the weekend.

Junior Travis Piccard (157) only advanced to the round of 32, despite going 3-3 for the weekend and leading the team in wins. Piccard was knocked out of the tournament by eventual 157-pound champion Ryan Bertin, a two time All-American from Michigan with a 10-3 decision, while Brad Ragan and Keith Clifton were each eliminated with losses to the eventual runners-up in their respective weight classes. Ragan lost to Cal-Poly's Vic Moreno by a 14-4 major decision and Clifton lost to Arizona State's Clarence Dollaway by a 11-2 major decision. The Citadel wrestling team will be back in action on December 17 when they travel to Newark, DE to participate in the "Beast of the East" tournament.
