Miami, FL - Miami, FL-- Sophomore Kayla Bowsher tied for 18th in Florida International's Miccosukee Championship, Feb. 16-17, in Miami, FL. The Citadel wrapped-up the two-day tournament in 12th place with a 340 (342-324-340) shot total on the par-73, 6,099-yard Miccoaukee Country Club course.

"I was pleased with our performance for our first tournament of the spring," stated head coach Kim Lewellen. "We did a number of things well but also discovered a few things we need to work on to reach our potential."

Bowsher led the Bulldogs for the sixth straight tournament, as she fired a score of 240 during the three round event. Other participants included sophomore Tracy Hancock, who tied for 42nd with a 247 (84-79-84) and senior Suzanne Campbell tied for 58th with a 259 (87-87-85). Sophomore Kelley Thorsen completed the tournament tied for 61st with a 260 (88-81-91) total. Junior Mary Nguyen rounded-out the Bulldog slate tied for 68th 273 (89-91-93).

The ladies return to the links March 5-7 as they travel to Spartanburg, SC to participate in the Lady Terrier Intercollegiate hosted by SoCon member Wofford.
