Sophomore Tracy Hancock paced The Citadel to a third-place finish as they hosted the Charleston Challenge this past weekend. The two-day event took place on the par-72, 5,900-yard courses at Shadowmoss (Day 1) and Westcott Plantation (Day 2).
"This was the first annual Charleston Challenge," commented head coach Kim Lewellen. "It was a pleasure to play with our local competition."
Sophomore Tracy Hancock completed the two-round event in eighth-place with a 163 (80-83) total. Classmate Kayla Bowsher finished 12th in the tournament with 170 (86-84) strokes, while senior Suzanne Campbell wrapped-up the two-day event in 14th-place with a score of 178 (87-91). Junior Mary Nguyen (90-97) and sophomore Kelley Thorsen (93-94) tied for 16th at 187.
The Bulldogs return to the links April 1-4 at the Spider Invitational in Richmond, VA.
