Charleston, SC -
The Southern Conference baseball coaches announced its all-conference team with both Chip Cannon and Jonathan Ellis of The Citadel earning first team honors.
Cannon, a senior from North Charleston, earned league laurels at first base after finishing the season with a .354 batting average, 15 home runs and 61 runs batted in. Cannon, who set the Bulldog and SoCon single-season walk mark with 65, connected for 70 hits, 32 of which were for extra bases. This year's distinction marks the second time Cannon was named all-conference as he earned the honor as a junior in 2003.

He fanned 101, while walking only 29 and recording an earned run average of 2.55. Ellis led the SoCon with two shutouts, as well as opponent batting (.221).
