Charleston, SC - Head coach Wendy Anderson and Athletic Director Les Robinson announced the 2004 schedule for The Citadel Volleyball team Tuesday afternoon.

The schedule is highlighted by a season opening trip to the Clemson Big Orange Bash September 3-4, where the Bulldogs will compete against top flight programs Clemson and Northern Iowa as well as Western Carolina and Winthrop. The Bulldogs will also travel to Annapolis, Maryland to compete in the Armed Forces Tournament against Army and Navy on September 10-11.

"This is our first time opening the season at a big-time invitational (Clemson)," said Anderson. "It will be good for our girls to be exposed to a big-time volleyball environment."

The Bulldogs will look to build on their first Southern Conference win, which came against Wofford last season on November 8, when they open their SoCon schedule against Georgia Southern in Statesboro on September 14. The Dogs open their SoCon home schedule on September 28 and close out the regular season November 12 as they team up against cross town conference rival College of Charleston.
