Charleston, S.C. - The Citadel rifle team finished in second place behind North Carolina State at the USAMU Invitational held in Ft. Benning,Ga. this past weekend. Senior shooter Justin Dickinson led the Bulldogs with a score of 566.

Two teams from The Citadel participated in Sunday's match against Wofford and N.C. State. The Bulldogs' A team shot a 2223, a close second to the N.C. State's Wolfpack team score of 2264.

Junior shooter Evan Rishel was close behind Dickinson finishing with a score of 563. Juniors Vanessa Swan and Amara Atella rounded out the scoring shooting 549 and 545, respectively.

Some of the freshmen shooters also got some action as The Citadel's team B consisted of three freshmen and one senior. Team B finished in third place with a score of 2100 led by senior Sarah Dueschle's individual mark of 559. Wofford finished in fourth place with 1857 and N.C. State's red team finished last with a score of 1596.

The Bulldogs will be back in action the weekend of October 2-3 at the Lady Gov's Invitational held in Clarksville, Tennessee.
