Sunset Beach, NC - Junior Tracy Hancock fired a two-round total of 155 and junior Kayla Bowsher shot a 159 as the pair placed second and tenth respectively in a field of 101 to lead The Citadel to a fifth place tie with Pfeiffer University in the Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Willard Byrd Golf Course in Sunset Beach.

"The women had an outstanding last day to come from the middle of the pack to 5th place," said head coach Kim Lewellen. "It is encouraging to see all their hard work pay off and I look forward to the next event at Wofford."

Hancock and Bowsher were followed by junior Kelly Thorsen in 43rd (90-77, 167), freshman Alexandria Lucisano in 68th (89-84, 173) and senior Mary Nguyen in 91st (94-97,191). The Bulldogs total of 654 included a second round team low of 317 matched only by Pfeiffer and tournament champion Longwood University.

The Citadel women are off this weekend, but will return to action on October 10 and 11 when they head to Spartanburg to take part in the Fall Lady Terrier tournament hosted by SoCon rival Wofford.
