Charleston, SC - The Citadel received 18 kills and a .773 attack percentage from senior middle blocker Marina Daniel as they beat Savannah State 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-22) in NCAA women's volleyball action Thursday night in McAlister Field House.

The Citadel (3-20, 0-11 SoCon) also received 10 or more kills from middle blocker Alexandra Morrell (12) and outside hitters Rachel Sanders (15) and Stefanie Farris (10). Freshman setter Emily Hill supplied 55 assists - a season high for a three-game match - while Daniel's .773 attack percentage was also a season match high. Defensively, Morrell led the Bulldogs with five total blocks and Sanders added eight digs. Morrell also had five service aces on the night.

For Savannah State (3-21) freshman outside hitter Tiffany Hall led with nine kills while freshman setter April Hayes supplied 23 set assists. Defensively, freshman libero Jamilla Joseph had 11 digs and junior middle blocker Donna Jenkins had two total blocks.

Savannah State will face Stetson at home on Sunday. The Citadel will host Furman at 2:00 pm on Saturday in McAlister Field House.
