The Citadel women's rifle team captured first place firing a 2229 to defeat Wofford's 1999 at home in Deas Hall last Saturday. Junior Amara Atella led the Bulldogs with a mark of 573.
Senior Sarah Deuschle, junior Vanessa Swan and freshman Jacquelyn Pastick rounded out the winning total firing a 569, 563 and 524, respectively.
The Citadel's coed team also got in some shots as they came in third with a score of 1927.
"It was good to compete at home before the SEARC 5 match that we are hosting this weekend," commented coach Bill Smith.
The Bulldogs are back in action this Saturday, February 12 at home as they host a conference and NCAA match in the gym in Deas Hall.
