For the fifth consecutive year, The Citadel will host the Southern Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Championships at the Don Bunch Courts at The Citadel and at the City of Charleston's Farmfield Courts. The tournaments, which run from April 21-24 will determine the recipients of the Southern Conference's automatic bids to the NCAA Tennis Championship.
"It is an honor to host this event for the fifth year," said Bulldog head coach Toby Simpson. "We have been privileged to have a great staff that runs a first class event every year."
The Citadel (9-11, 5-5 SoCon) earned the fourth seed for the second year in a row and will take on fifth seeded Wofford (7-15, 5-5 SoCon) at 10:00 am on Friday, April 22 at the City of Charleston's Farmfield Courts.
"The guys worked hard and had a good season," said Simpson. "Hopefully we can build on the success of this young team in the tournament and in the years to come."
