Charleston, SC - The Citadel cross country team, under the direction of head coach Jody Huddleston and with Citadel Athletics Director Les Robinson, announced the 2005 fall schedule. The Bulldogs will participate in seven meets, two of which are against Southern Conference schools.

"We are looking forward to the cross-country season as the conference championships will be hosted by Georgia Southern and their course and weather conditions will be favorable for us this year," remarked Huddleston. "We are traveling to the Disney Invitational on the weekend we have traditionally run at Furman for the past 20 years. We hope it will be a fun trip and I know the kids on the team are excited about going to a Disney park."

The Citadel opens the 2005 season September 2 at the University of South Carolina and then has a meet with the College of Charleston September 10 in Hollywood, SC. The following weekend the Bulldogs will play host to numerous runners from around the area during The Citadel Invitational held September 24.

In October, the cross country team has three additional meets. The team travels to Orlando, FL for the Disney Invitational October 8. A week later, the Bulldogs travel to Rock Hill, SC for a meet against Winthrop University. To close out the month, Georgia Southern will host the SoCon Championships on Sunday, October 30.
