Charleston, SC - For the third consecutive year, The Citadel Tennis has players named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Nick Medica, James Eason and David Lara each earned the honor with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. The squad was also tabbed 2005 ITA All-Academic Team with a cumulative team GPA over 3.2.

Medica, a regular at No.5 singles, boasts a 4.0 GPA after three years of undergrad work and will enter the fall as a senior. Lara and Eason both own a 3.8 GPA as Lara enters his fourth year and Eason will begin his second. The team combined garnered a 3.4 GPA through the 2005 season.

"I'm really proud of this team," remarked head coach Toby Simpson. "My guys work hard on and off the court and hopefully we can continue that trend."
