Charleston, SC - Senior middle blocker Marina Daniel led The Citadel with eight kills and seven total blocks to give the Bulldogs a 3-0 (30-14. 30-17, 30-15) win over Augusta State on Wednesday night in McAlister Field House.

Daniel was followed closely by freshman middle blocker Alexandra Morrell who had seven kills and four block assists. Eight Bulldogs notched kills including freshman setter Emily Hill who had two to go with her 22 set assists.

For Augusta State junior outside hitter Brooke Elder led the way with six kills while sophomore setter Jessica Lowes had 10 set assists and three block assists.

Augusta State (2-13, 0-0 Peach Belt) will return home to face USC Upstate at 7:00 pm Friday in Augusta. The Citadel (2-11, 0-3 SoCon) will travel to the Peidmont this weekend as they face Furman on Saturday at noon and Wofford at 2:00 pm on Sunday.
