Chattanooga, TN - Sophomore keeper Brit Bunnell tallied 12 saves on the day for The Citadel (2-7, 0-2 SoCon) as the Bulldogs fell 4-0 to Chattanooga Friday afternoon at the North River Soccer Complex.

The Lady Mocs' first two goals came off free kicks. Senior midfielder Elfa Erlingsdottir took the first shot from the right side about 20 yards out at the 20:49 mark to put the Lady Mocs on the board. In the 43rd minute, senior defender Lisa Becht scored her first collegiate goal on a free kick from the left side from 30 yards away to make 2-0 at the end of the first half.

Erlingsdottir scored again for the Mocs at the 50:58 mark on a corner kick from Becht. Nearly six minutes later, freshman Bjork Gunnarsdottir sent a pass from the right side into the center of the box for sophomore Jennifer Wilson's first goal of the season, making the final 4-0.

Sophomore Aly Woodhead and senior Miriam Crawford both posted a shot for the Bulldogs.

"I saw a great improvement over our recent performances," said head coach Chris Lenzo. "We need to get better at not giving up easy goals, but I am very happy with the intensity and focus we played with today."

Next up, The Citadel will play host to Southern Conference foe Appalachian Sate this Sunday, October 2 on Summerall Field at 3:00 pm.
