Chapel Hill, N.C. James Eason advanced as far as the singles round of 128 after working his way through the rigorous qualifying round at the ITA Regional Championships at the University of North Carolina, but the junior from Christchurch, New Zealand finally fell against some of the toughest singles competition in the country.
Furman's Andy Juc was the one to finally end Eason's streak with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over The Citadel cadet. Eason was the final Bulldog remaining in the competition after fellow junior Daniel Dosseter fell in another round of 128 match.
The Dossetor and Eason tandem is still awaiting the start of doubles competition at the ITA Regional Championships and will open that bracket up with a match-up against a duo from South Carolina State.
