Charleston, S.C. Five Citadel basketball games are scheduled to be broadcasted throughout the 2006-07 season The Citadel's Department of Athletics announced Friday afternoon. Two home games and three road games are slated to be on regional or national television, including the upcoming games at Michigan State and Iowa.
Both the games at Michigan State and Iowa will be on ESPN Regional television. The Citadel is set to tip-off with the Spartans in East Lansing, Mich. at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12. The Bulldogs will then face Iowa in Iowa City on Monday, Nov. 13 at 8:05 p.m. Eastern.
As the Bulldogs return back to campus after their Winter Leave, they will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to take on Wofford on Saturday, Jan. 6 for a 6 p.m. showdown with the Terriers on CSS. The Citadel won their only conference game of the year last season at Wofford.
On Monday, Jan. 8, the Cadets return home to the friendly confines of McAlister to host their cross-town rival, the Cougars of the College of Charleston in a 7:05 p.m. game that will be televised by CSS.
SportSouth will televise The Citadel's game against Georgia Southern in McAlister Field House when the Eagles come to Charleston on Saturday, Jan. 13 for a 2 p.m. tip-off. SportSouth is the new incarnation of the former TurnerSouth.
