The Citadel Bulldogs sit in 20th place after the first day of the 28th annual Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship at Miccosukee Golf and Country Club in Miami, Fla. The tournament, hosted by Florida International, marks the beginning of the spring season for the Bulldogs.
The Citadel compiled a team score of 342 in the first round and 331 in the second 18 holes for a total of 673, 14 strokes behind 19th-place Ohio University.
Kelley Thorsen led the Bulldogs individually on the first day as she fired a team-best round of 79 during the second 18 holes at the par-73 course. Kayla Bowsher had the best total score for The Citadel with a 165 (82-83) and Tracy Hancock fired a 166 (83-83).
The final round of the Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship will be played on Wednesday in Miami. The Bulldogs will then head to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the Bethune Cookman Spring Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 25, and Sunday, Feb. 26.
